06/28/06 - Thanks Marguerite for article. - THE
YEAR 1906 - This will boggle your mind, I know it did mine!??
The year is 1906. One hundred years ago. What a difference a century makes! Here are some of the U.S. statistics for
the Year 1906: The average life expectancy in the U.S. was 47 years. Only 14 percent of the homes in the U.S. had a
bathtub. Only 8 percent of the homes had a telephone. A three-minute call from Denver to New York City cost eleven dollars. There
were only 8,000 cars in the U.S., and only 144 miles of paved roads. The maximum speed limit in most cities was 10 mph. Alabama,
Mississippi, Iowa, and Tennessee were each more heavily populated than California. With a mere 1.4 million people, California
was only the 21st most populous state in the Union. The tallest structure in the world was the Eiffel Tower!? The average
wage in the U.S. was 22 cents per hour. The average U.S. worker made between $200 and $400 per year. A competent accountant
could expect to earn $2,000 per year, a dentist $2,500 per year, a veterinarian between $1,500 and $4,000 per year, and a
mechanical engineer about $5,000 per year. More than 95 percent of all births in the U.S. took place at home. Ninety
percent of all U.S. doctors had no college education. Instead, they attended so-called medical schools, many of which were
condemned in the press and by the government as "substandard." The first textbook on chiropractic was published.
Sugar cost four cents a pound. Eggs were fourteen cents a dozen. Coffee was fifteen cents a pound. Most women
only washed their hair once a month, and used borax or egg yolks for shampoo.?? Canada passed a law that prohibited poor
people from entering into their country for any reason. Five leading causes of death in the U.S.? were: 1. Pneumonia
and influenza 2. Tuberculosis
3. Diarrhea 4. Heart disease 5. Stroke
The American flag had 45 stars. Arizona, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Hawaii,
and Alaska hadn't been admitted to the Union yet.
The population of Las Vegas, Nevada, was only 30 !!! Crossword
puzzles, canned beer, and ice tea hadn't been invented yet. There was no Mother's Day or Father's Day. Two out of every
10 U.S. adults couldn't read or write. Only 6 percent of all Americans had graduated from high school. Marijuana, heroin,
and morphine were all available over the counter at the local corner drugstores. Back then pharmacist said, "Heroin clears
the complexion, gives buoyancy to the mind, regulates the stomach and bowels, and is, in fact, a perfect guardian of health." Eighteen
percent of households in the U.S. had at least one full-time servant or domestic help. There were about 230 reported murders
in the entire U.S.
Try to imagine what it may be like in another 100 years. (I am not sure I want to). It's
Staggering....
06/23/06 - Thanks Keith for the following Corporate lessons:
Corporate Lesson 1 - A man is getting into the shower just as his wife is
finishing up her shower when the doorbell rings. The wife quickly wraps herself in a towel and runs downstairs.
When
she opens the door, there stands Bob, the next door neighbor. Before she says a word, Bob says, "I'll give you $800 to drop
that towel." After thinking for a moment, the woman drops her towel and stands naked in front of Bob.
After a few seconds,
Bob hands her $800 dollars and leaves. The woman wraps back up in the towel and goes back upstairs. When she gets to the bathroom,
her husband asks, "Who was that?"
"It was Bob the next door neighbor," she replies. Great!" the husband says, "Did
he say anything about the $800 he owes me?"
Moral of the story: If you share critical information pertaining to credit
and risk with your shareholders in time, you may be in a position to prevent avoidable exposure
Corporate Lesson 2 - A priest offered a lift to a Nun. She got in and crossed her legs, forcing
her gown to reveal a leg. The priest nearly had an accident. After controlling the car, he stealthily slid his hand up her
leg. The nun said, "Father, remember Psalm 129?"
The priest removed his hand. But, changing gears, he let his hand
slide up her leg again.
The nun once again said, "Father, remember Psalm 129?" The priest apologized, "Sorry sister
but the flesh is weak."
Arriving at the convent, the nun went on her way. On his arrival at the church, the priest
rushed to look up Psalm 129. It said, "Go forth and seek, further up, you will find glory."
Moral of the story: If
you are not well informed in your job, you might miss a great opportunity.
Corporate Lesson 3 - A sales rep, an administration clerk, and the manager are walking to
lunch when they find an antique oil lamp. They rub it and a Genie comes out. The Genie says, "I'll give each of you just one
wish." "Me first! Me first!" says the admin. clerk. "I want to be in the Bahamas, driving a speedboat, without a care in the
world."
Poof! She's gone.
"Me next! Me next!" says the sales rep. "I want to be in Hawaii, relaxing on the beach
with my personal masseuse, an endless supply of Pina Coladas, and the love of my life." Poof! He's gone. "OK, you're up,"
the Genie says to the manager. The manager says, "I want those two back in the office after lunch."
Moral of the story:
Always let your boss have the first say.
Corporate Lesson 4 - A crow was sitting on a tree, doing nothing all day. A rabbit asked
him, "Can I also sit like you and do nothing all day long?"
The crow answered: "Sure, why not." So, the rabbit sat
on the ground below the crow, and rested. A fox jumped on the rabbit and ate it.
Moral of the story: To be sitting
and doing nothing, you must be sitting very high up.
Corporate Lesson 5 - A turkey was chatting with a bull. "I would love to be able to get to
the top of that tree," sighed the turkey, but I haven't got the energy."
"Well, why don't you nibble on my droppings?"
replied the bull. "They're packed with nutrients."
The turkey pecked at a lump of dung and found that it gave him enough
strength to reach the lowest branch of the tree. The next day, after eating some more dung, he reached the second branch.
Finally after a fourth night, there he was proudly perched at the top of the tree.
Soon he was spotted by a farmer,
who shot the turkey out of the tree.
Moral of the story: Bullshit might get you to the top, but it won't keep you there.
04/10/06 - This is the article that Randy read on
the air that many of you have wanted by unknown author. -
WOULDN’T IT BE GREAT TO TURN ON THE TV AND HEAR ANY U.S. PRESIDENT, DEMOCRAT OR REPUBLICAN, GIVE THE FOLLOWING SPEECH?
My Fellow Americans: As you all know, the defeat of Iraq regime has been completed.
Since congress does not want to spend any more money on this war, our mission in Iraq is complete.
This morning I gave the order for a complete removal of all American forces from Iraq! This action will be complete within
30 days. It is now to begin the reckoning.
Before me, I have two lists. One list contains the names of countries which have stood by our side during the Iraqi
conflict. This list is short. The United Kingdom, Spain, Bulgaria, Australia, and Poland are some of the countries listed
there.
The other list contains everyone not on the first list. Most of the world’s nations are on that list. My press secretary
will be distributing copies of both lists later this evening.
Let me start by saying that effective immediately, foreign aid to those nations on List 2 ceases immediately and indefinitely.
The money saved during the first year along will pretty much pay for the costs of the Iraqi war.
The American people are no longer going to pour money into third world Hell-holes and watch those government leaders
grow fat on corruption.
Need help with a famine? Wrestling with an epidemic? Call France.
In the future, together with Congress, I will work to redirect this money toward solving the vexing social problems we
still have at home. On that note, a word to terrorist organizations. Mess with us and we will hunt you down and eliminate
you and all your friends from the face of the earth.
Thirsting for a gutsy country to terrorize? Try France, or maybe China.
I am ordering the immediate severing of diplomatic relations with France, Germany, and Russia. Thanks for all you help,
comrades. We are retiring from NATO as well. Bon Voyage.
I have instructed the Mayor of New York City to begin towing the many UN diplomatic vehicles located in Manhattan with
more than two unpaid parking tickets to sites where those vehicles will be stripped, shredded and crushed. I don’t care
about whatever treaty pertains to this. You creeps have tens of thousands of unpaid tickets. Pay those tickets tomorrow or
watch your precious Benzes, Beamers and limos be turned over to some of finest chop shops in the world. I love New York.
A special note to our neighbors. Canada is on List 2. Since we are likely to be seeing a lot more of each other, you
folks might want to try not making us mad for a change.
Mexico is also on List 2. President Fox and his entire corrupt government really need an attitude adjustment. I will have
a couple extra tank and infantry divisions sitting around. Guess where I am going to put em? Yep, border security. So start
doing something with your oil.
Oh, by the way, the United States is abrogating the NAFTA treaty - starting now.
We are tired of the one-way highway. Immediately, we’ll be drilling for oil in Alaska - which will take care of
this country’s oil needs for decades to come. If you’re an environmentalist who opposes this decision, I refer
you to List 2 above: pick a country and move there. They care.
It is time for America to focus on its own welfare and its own citizens. Some will accuse us of isolationism. I answer
them by saying, "Darn Tootin."
Nearly a century of trying to help folks live a decent life around the world has only earned us the undying enmity of
just about everyone on the planet. It is time to eliminate hunger in America. It is time to eliminate homelessness in America.
It is time to eliminate World Cup Soccer from America. To the nations on List 1, a final thought. Thanks guys. We owe you
and we won’t forget. To the nations on List 2, a final thought: you might want to learn to speak Arabic.
God bless America. Thank you and good night.
If you can read this, thank a teacher. If you are reading it in English, thank a soldier.

- BEWARE - Dangerous Mulch
If you use mulch around your house be very careful about buying mulch this year. After the hurricane in New Orleans many
trees were blown over. These trees were then turned into mulch and the state is trying to get rid of tons and tons of this
mulch to any state or company who will come and haul it away. So it will be showing up in Home Depot and Lowes at dirt cheap
prices with one huge problem; Formosan Termites will be the bonus in many of those bags. New Orleans is one of the few areas
in the country were the Formosan Termites has gotten a strong hold and
most of the trees blown down were already badly infested with those termites. Now we may have the worst case of transporting
a problem to all parts of the country that we have ever had. These termites can eat a house in no time at all and we have
no good control against them, so tell your friends that own homes to avoid cheap mulch and know were it came from.

BBJ says "This is a must read! - RACING TO BECOME A ‘NATION OF LOSERS’ By
Don Garlits, Ocala, Fl
Over the last couple of hundred years several things happened that have made
America the greatest country on Earth.
Millions of hard working people immigrated to America, merged into our society
and became God-fearing, patriotic, Christian citizens.
These people worked for practically nothing and the result
was that we have a rich nation.
However, things are changing. We are now the largest debtor nation on Earth. We are
losing our manufacturing base. We embrace multiculturalism. And we are removing God out of everything.
Multiculturalism
divides our nation instead of causing it to stand together. Politicians don't like a nation of one mindset; it makes it harder
for the minority party to get into power.
Politicians could not care less about the future of America. All they want
is to get re-elected or the continuation of their party's power, as in the case of President Bush.

Subject: Donations
I have NOT verified these figures, but they are probably not far off.
It's bettter to give to the Salvation Army....guess
why?
As you open your pockets for yet another natural disaster, keep these facts in mind:
Marsha J. Evans, President
and CEO of the American Red Cross received a salary of $651,957 plus expenses, for the year ending 2003 .
Brian
Gallagher, President of the United Way receives a $375,000 base salary, plus numerous expense benefits.
The Salvation
Army's Commissioner Todd Bassett receives a salary of only $13,000 per year (plus housing) for managing this $2 billion
dollar organization.

for the "OLD AGE HUMOR"
How come we choose from just two people to run for President and fifty for Miss America?
Don’t argue with an idiot; people watching may not be able to tell the difference.
Why is it that our children can’t read a Bible in school, but they can in prison?
Why do I have to swear on the Bible in court when the Ten Commandments cannot be displayed in
a federal building?
07/29/05 - The Committee for Fair Elections is a nonpartisan state political committee advocating for the creation of fair
districts in Florida. You need to go into this web site and print out their petitions and send them to the address
they give you. Go to www.committeeforfairelections.com and click on "Sign the Petitions".
The Committee is organizing a citizen petition drive to fix the way voting district lines are drawn in Florida. The
Committee’s initiatives will remove politicians from the process and create standards that will act as guideline the
creation of fair voting districts in time for the 2008 elections.

the National Do Not Call Registry, or to file a complaint, consumers should visit www.donotcall.gov or call 1-888-382-1222. Consumers registering a phone number online will be asked to provide a valid e-mail address to
which a confirmation of the registration will be sent. A registration is not complete until the consumer clicks on the link

Some $3,300,000,000 is spend each year just to print forms, directives and reports created by government
and another $2 billion is spent each year to file and store all of this bureaucratic garbage.

THE SUPREME
Court once ruled that the imposition of a federal income tax was unconstitutional.
The tax was first instituted during the Civil War to raise capital for war expenses, but this was temporary. When Congress tried to revive income taxes in the late 1800s, the Supreme Court said it was in violation
of the constitutional provision that direct taxes must be apportioned among the states according to population. In 1913, though, Congress passed the 16th Amendment, making
the federal income tax legal once again.

12/22/04 – BBJ says, “This is
a sample of what the Founders thought about gun control.”
THOMAS JEFFERSON: “No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms.”
Patrick Henry: “The great object is that every man be armed. Everyone who is able may have a gun.”
James Madison: “Americans have the right and advantage of being armed – unlike
the citizens of other countries who governments are afraid to trust people with arms.”
Samuel Adams: “The Constitution shall never be construed … to prevent the
people of the United States who are peaceable citizens from keeping their own arms.”
Alexander Hamilton: “The best we can hope for concerning the people at large is that
they be properly armed.”
George Mason: “I ask, sir, what is the militia? It is the whole people, except for a few public officials.”
Elbridge Gerry: “I ask what is the purpose of the militia? To offset
the need of large standing armies, the bane of liberty.”
Thomas Jefferson: “The constitutions of most of our states (and of the United States) assert that all power is inherent
in the people; that they may exercise it by themselves; that it is
their right and duty to be at all times armed; that they are entitled to freedom of person, freedom of religion, freedom
of property and freedom of the press.”

A
dog had followed his owner to school. His owner was a fourth grader at a public elementary school. However, when the bell
rang, the dog sidled inside the building and made it all the way to the child's classroom before a teacher noticed and shooed
him outside, closing the door behind him. The dog sat down, whimpered and stared at the closed doors. Then God appeared beside the dog, patted his head, and said, "Don't

United Arab Emirates votes
against the US 70% of the time.
Jordan votes against the US 71% of the time.
Tunisia votes against the US 71% of the time.
Saudi Arabia votes against the US 73% of the time.
Yemen votes against the US 74% of the time.
Algeria votes against the US 74% of the

US Foreign Aid to those that hate us:
Egypt, for example, after
voting 79% of the time against the
United States, still receives $2 billion annually in US Foreign Aid.
Jordan votes 71% against the United States and receives $192,814,000 annually in US Foreign Aid.
Pakistan votes 75% against the

Perhaps it is time to get out of the UN, the UN out of the US and
stop this foreign aid. Give the savings back to the American Taxpayer who have to skimp and sacrifice just to pay the
taxes.
